An App Which Converts SmartPhones Into Security Cameras

Imagine your Smartphone monitoring your house in your absence! Sounds interesting right? If you are worried about a house theft when you are not present in your home to defend it,just relax.Developers have created a new app,Fret not with Presence, which supervises the domestic ongoing activity right in your home.

Forget about the existing complex and expensive monitoring systems, this app is absolutely free and can be acquired by downloading and configuring it.Why waste your money when a user-friendly app like this is at a hands distance. All you need to have is two Smartphones, the app basically uses oldĀ  iPhone’s, i Pad or iPods.

Presence app converts the smartphones into security cameras which can be installed anywhere in your home. These cameras, just like the monitoring machines, could stream live,real-time images and audio wherever you are. It provides you all the information on each and every activity that happens in your house through motion detection notifications.index

As mentioned earlier, users need to have two devices for the app to work. Downloading the app is easy and installing it is a cake-walk. After installing, the consumers need to create a login to their account on the two devices, later, they can start the camera with the app on any one of the devices and then view the images that are being captured by the other device.

The app can be customized to record detected motion and also to send alerts. It will send an email to the user showing the motion that caused the alert through a video clip, thus, avoiding false alarms.False alarms often confuse and panic customers unnecessarily. But with this app, that drawback is surmounted.

“With these high-end security systems, you have a lot of false positives and then the security company and police come out and it turns out it was your cat knocking over a broom or something like that,” Gene Wang, chief executive of the Palo Alto, California-based company People Power that created Presence, told Reuters.

Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, estimates that the average household with two teenage children by 2022 will own about 50 Internet-connected devices and these kind of apps will be utilized widely.

Fret not with Presence app is launched in April,2013.The developers are pretty confidant about its function and expect that the app reaches all the people who are looking for security monitoring machines to their houses.
